Paperweight

This is one of my first glasswork pieces!

        Before this, I made a couple of spherical paperweights to experiment with using and manipulating powder pigments. I expected the texture of molten glass to be similar to molasses, but it’s a lot more like hot hard candy on a stainless steel surface. Both of them develop a crunchy outer layer as it cools.
